It's that time of year again. As soon as the superbowl ends, the sports landscape is as barren as it ever gets. Too early to talk about College basketball or baseball seriously, the NBA playoffs are still a good way off and for those of us that liken watching golf to watching paint dry (me) there isn't too much to get excited about in sports. What's a boy to do?Sports Illustrated has got you covered. They unveiled their annual Swimsuit Edition recently, this years theme "The Music Issue" is a pretty cool one. For the first time ever, a non model/ non athlete has graced the cover of the magazine. The honor goes to Beyonce, the caption: "The Dreamgirl As You've Never Seen Her". Can't wait for my copy to arrive in the mail... *looks out window for mailman*
SI has also launched a Swimsuit 2007 Webpage that is perfect for browsing while you're on "break" at work. Lots of pictorials and tidbits on the models and a "Models and Musicians" section with photos of scantily clad beauties with rock stars like Gnarls Barkley, Kanye West, Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffet, and Panic! at the Disco. The pics, sites and videos are all top notch stuff.
Did I mention videos? Beyonce has one that I've included for your enjoyment below. I had the volume all the way down when I watched it, but I think she talks about the fact that she'll be re-releasing her album "B-Day" next month with a few new tracks. This isn't surprising considering how lackluster the sales were when it was initially released. I guess I'm not the only one that missed it the first time around.
